Introduction
C. CROSS, LIMOUSINE MARKETING & MANAGEMENT CONSULTING - I have over 12 years of driving and dispatching limos, collecting, collating & organizing information on limos, writing articles on limos; building limo web sites and now this! Who'da figured?
What are some of your thoughts and ideas about the present and future of the car service industry? What's good? What's bad? What changes do you foresee? What changes would you like to see? What things would help you earn more money?

Limousine service is expanding and democratizing. What was once a service only for the rich is becoming a luxury for regular folks. There is still a high-end to car service, but that niche needs to be more sharply defined.

What professional issues are of most concern to you? Wages? Benefits? Safety issues? Quality of life? Legal Issues? Regulations? Licensing? Professional respect? Training? Business promotion? Competition? Inter-office matters? Other?

Safety and driver self-determination. Also the fact that many companies try to treat their drivers like ICs without giving them the full rein of freedom that IC implies. Other than call me for LIMOUSINE MARKETING & MANAGEMENT CONSULTING.

Would you be interested in availability of group life, health and disability insurance? Financial, tax and investment advice? Business start-up consulting? Legal information relating to your profession? Other?

All of the above--and MORE!

How are you involved in the car service industry? Active or retired? Part or full time? Self employed or an employee? What is your position? How long have you been in this field? What companies have you worked with?

See #1 above

What would you like to gain from your membership in this group? How can you help the group to grow? Do you have a home or office where you could host an occasional meeting? Will you notify other drivers and potential sponsors about this group?

  •  thank you for your welcoming invitation Chris. I accept with honors that I shall be in the presence of many great writers from whom I'm certain to learn a great deal. Thanks again,
    Your friend,
    Jana

  •  Hey Chris, thank you. I know it's totally a comic thing, but I've been so tempted to actually send it out. Maybe just for advertising companies, eh? But aside from how over the top it really is, a cover letter or resume is all about selling yourself, right? As a side note, I did really enjoy the last meeting. Does this group actually exchange ideas and or offer critiques? I feel like I have too many ideas to actually do on my own. Unfortunately, I don't have an abundance of time.

  •  Thanks Chris. I will come even if it is late, so long as it is not raining. I can't see in the dark when it rains. I really need to be around other writers to inspire me to complete my children's books and to get published before my grandson's are too old to really enjoy them! Looking forward to seeing you again. Oh, I am interested in some of the sub groups as well.

  •  Chris, here's a site all members should be aware of. It's an ongoing compendium of the scams out there preying on aspiring writers.
